Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred
- Ability to clean areas requiring technical cleaning including IR, Cardiac Cath, Mother-Baby, NICU, OR, ED
- Ability to operate light floor cleaning equipment
- Ability to lift and transport patients in emergencies
- Physical ability to reach, stand for long periods, squat, bend, carry and/or lift supplies and equipment weighing 35 pounds or more up to 80 percent of the time
- Ability to climb ladders
- Ability to wear protective equipment/clothing required by environment or regulations
- Indiana driver’s license and proof of insurance
- No experience required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred
- Ability to clean technical and specialized hospital areas
- Experience operating light floor cleaning equipment preferred
- Strong physical stamina and ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds regularly
- Ability to wear required protective clothing in compliance with safety standards
- Valid Indiana driver's license and proof of insurance
Job Duties
- Clean and sanitize patient units, office areas, clinics, treatment and procedural areas, and public spaces
- Remove refuse and soiled linens
- Operate light floor cleaning equipment in patient care areas
- Perform technical cleaning in specialized hospital areas such as IR, Cardiac Cath, Mother-Baby, NICU, OR, and ED
- Lift and transport patients in emergency situations
- Wear required protective equipment and clothing
- Climb ladders to perform cleaning tasks
