The individual in this position is responsible for thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing various areas within the facility, including resident rooms, hallways, dining areas, and bathrooms. Utilizing proper techniques and safety measures, this role demands the careful mixing and handling of cleaning solutions, as well as the correct disposal of infectious waste to adhere to stringent infection control protocols. Punctuality and consistent attendance during assigned shifts are key attributes expected from candidates.
In addition to primary cleaning responsibilities, this role may encompass other duties as assigned, all performed while adhering to Cascadia Healthcare’s Code of Business Conduct, internal policies and procedures, and applicable federal and state regulations. The individual must demonstrate an ability to read and write adequately for job performance, communicate effectively with residents, family members, and staff, and possess knowledge of infection control techniques. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Level 1 fingerprint clearance card
- Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to read and write at a level appropriate for the job
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, family members and facility staff
- Knowledge of infection control techniques
- Ability to be patient and polite
Job Duties
- Cleans and sanitizes resident rooms, hallways, dining areas, bathrooms and other areas of the facility
- Safely mixes and uses cleaning solutions and stores in a secure area
- Labels and removes infectious waste bags and containers
- Ensures punctuality and regular attendance for assigned shifts
- Performs other tasks as assigned
