Job Description

Neighborhood Health Association (NHA) is the largest community health center system in Northwest Ohio, with over 13 clinics providing a wide range of health services including medical, dental, pediatric, women's, senior, and homeless care. Established in 1969, NHA has grown into a trusted healthcare provider dedicated to prevention, education, and helping individuals take control of their health. The association also offers a full-service pharmacy and laboratory, enhancing the integrated care experience for its diverse patient population. NHA’s mission centers on delivering exceptional health care services while empowering and educating the community, striving to eliminate health disparities, and fostering personal responsibility for health regardless of patients’ ability to pay. As a community-focused organization, NHA values equity, professionalism, and compassionate care, making it a rewarding environment for employees who are passionate about making a positive impact on public health.

The Housekeeping Staff position at NHA plays a crucial role in maintaining a clean, sanitary, and comfortable environment across all clinic locations. Working under the general supervision of the Housekeeping Manager, this role ensures that all clinics and work areas adhere to strict cleanliness standards and infection control protocols. The position involves a variety of tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, emptying trash, laundering linens, and operating cleaning machinery to uphold the highest standards of hygiene. The Housekeeper is also responsible for monitoring cleaning supplies and reporting maintenance needs, supporting the overall safety and functionality of the clinics. This full-time, Monday through Friday role requires occasional evening or weekend work for special events, offering consistent scheduling with no weekends or holidays normally required. Candidates must be comfortable performing physical labor, including lifting up to 100 pounds and engaging in repetitive motions, as well as navigating various environmental conditions such as exposure to dust and electrical equipment. The job requires personal vehicle use to travel between multiple clinic locations daily, with mileage reimbursement provided. Candidates must hold a valid driver's license and insurance for their vehicle.

In addition to a dynamic work environment that supports public health, NHA offers excellent benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and 11 paid holidays. The organization emphasizes a drug-free workplace and equal employment opportunities, welcoming candidates who are dedicated to community service and health equity. Joining the NHA team means becoming part of a mission-driven organization committed to improving health outcomes through compassionate care and dedicated support services.
