Kisco Senior Living is an award-winning leader in the senior living industry with over 30 years of experience. The company is committed to fostering not only great places for residents to live but also excellent workplaces for associates. Emerald Court exemplifies these values by maintaining a clean, healthy, and welcoming atmosphere that supports the care and welfare of all residents and guests. Their approach combines exemplary customer service with meticulous attention to detail to ensure that every resident feels valued and comfortable. The Housekeeper role at Emerald Court is a full-time position, scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a competitive pay range of $17 to $18 per hour. This position is key to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the community, which contributes significantly to the overall health and wellbeing of residents. The housekeeper is responsible for cleaning assigned apartments as well as common community rooms and other shared spaces. This role requires handling linens, towels, and cleaning supplies safely and efficiently, often using wheeled carts to transport these materials. Job responsibilities also include changing bed linens regularly and assisting with resident and community laundry tasks as directed. Beyond these daily activities, the housekeeper may perform other related duties to contribute to the smooth operation and high standards of Emerald Court. The position plays a vital role not just in upkeep and maintenance but in promoting a healthy living environment where residents can thrive. Success in this role requires a high school diploma or equivalent preferred, along with six months to one year of housekeeping experience. Prior experience working within a senior living environment is advantageous, supporting the understanding of the unique needs of elderly residents. Competency in basic technology use is also necessary, reflecting the integration of digital tools in coordinating cleaning schedules and resident care. Flexibility in work schedule is important since occasional weekend and holiday hours may be needed to meet community demands. Emerald Court offers attractive benefits to its housekeepers, particularly full-time employees. These benefits include competitive pay, a free meal per shift, comprehensive healthcare covering vision and dental care, a matching 401k retirement plan, paid time off, and various rewards and bonus opportunities. Continuous training and growth opportunities are also a priority, empowering employees to advance their skills and careers. Kisco Senior Living maintains a rigorous pre-employment screening process which includes a drug screen, job-specific physical, TB test, and background check. Notably, the company covers all associated costs of these pre-hire requirements for prospective employees. Kisco Senior Living is strongly committed to equal opportunity employment, ensuring a diverse and inclusive workforce. In summary, the Housekeeper role at Emerald Court offers a meaningful opportunity to contribute to a respected senior living community by ensuring a clean and sanitary environment that enhances resident health and comfort. The full-time position comes with competitive compensation, valuable benefits, and the chance to work with a supportive employer recognized for decades of leadership in senior care.
