At its core, The Village fosters a tightly-knit family-friendly and resident-centered environment across all levels of care. This supportive atmosphere is achieved through the dedicated work of frontline associates, caregivers, clinical team members, and management who collaborate to ensure that residents experience comfort, dignity, and joy. The Community strives to provide compassionate clinical care for those in Skilled Nursing, supportive assistance for Assisted Living residents, and an engaging, independent lifestyle backed by comprehensive support services for those in Independent Living.
The Housekeeper role at The Village is pivotal in maintaining the cleanliness and overall hygiene of resident apartments and community areas, which directly contributes to the comfort and safety of the residents. This position is ideal for individuals who value attention to detail and take pride in creating a clean and welcoming environment. The Housekeeper assists the community’s commitment to safe practices, infection control, and respects residents’ rights, making it a critical part of the care team.
Typical responsibilities include vacuuming carpeted rooms, sweeping and mopping tiled floors in bathrooms and kitchens, emptying laundry carts, cleaning bathroom fixtures like sinks, showers, baths, and toilets, and polishing mirrors. The role also involves moving furniture as necessary to facilitate effective cleaning, changing bedding including turning mattresses, and actively participating in team efforts to ensure the highest levels of cleanliness are maintained throughout the community and residents’ apartments.
Additional duties as assigned by leadership ensure a dynamic work environment and opportunities for team members to contribute beyond their standard duties. Housekeepers are also vigilant in safeguarding residents' personal belongings to prevent loss or misplacement, an important responsibility that supports the respectful and caring culture at The Village.
Employment at The Village offers a competitive pay scale, ranging from $17.75 to $18.25 per hour based on experience, underlining the value placed on skilled and dedicated staff. Moreover, The Village offers outstanding employee benefits including scholarships for continuing education after 12 months of employment, vacation, holiday, and sick leave pay, as well as comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage. Additional benefits include voluntary short-term disability insurance and a 401k retirement plan, further enhancing the total compensation package.
The Village prioritizes the health and safety of its community and workforce. While fully vaccinated status against COVID-19 is preferred, this policy underscores the organization’s commitment to safeguarding the entire community.
As an equal opportunity employer, The Village welcomes applications from individuals of all backgrounds and identities, fostering diversity and inclusion within its workforce. Individuals who are compassionate, detail-oriented, and motivated by meaningful work that supports older adults through all stages of aging will find a fulfilling career at The Village.
