The role of Housekeeper at Guest Services is an essential position that supports the company’s mission of maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in hospitality venues. This is a skilled position requiring routine and specialized maintenance tasks to preserve the hygiene and aesthetic quality of accommodations and facilities. The Housekeeper’s responsibilities include cleaning assigned areas according to management directives and environmental guidelines, changing linens, dusting and cleaning furniture and fixtures, managing trash disposal, and ensuring all room amenities like soaps, shampoos, and other supplies are replenished as needed.

This role demands physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks that involve bending, lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods. Housekeepers must also adhere to safety protocols while working efficiently in fast-paced, sometimes challenging environments that may involve wet, slippery, hot, or damp conditions. The position pays $18.00 hourly and emphasizes safety, attention to detail, communication, and customer service skills. Employees in this role use cleaning equipment such as industrial washers and dryers, vacuum cleaners, mops, and chemical cleaning agents, and must promptly report any maintenance or quality control issues to supervisors.

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Clean assigned areas as directed by management and in compliance with the companys green initiatives
  • Change linens and make beds
  • Dust and clean all furniture, picture frames, mirrors, windows, baseboards, carpet edges, inside and outside door panels, door ledges, and thresholds
  • Pull trash from trash receptacles
  • replace trash bags as needed
  • clear trash from tables and floors/grounds
  • Clean and vacuum under beds, desk, gaming tables, and behind night stands
  • Check and replace all missing items in rooms, including soaps, shampoos, conditioners, hangers, clocks, ice bucket liners, hair dryers, brochures, and stationery
  • Clean and ensure bathtubs, tub ledges, sinks, vanity shelves, toilets, bathroom scales, tissue box covers, and soap dishes are spot, mold, mildew, and dust free
  • Sweep and mop all bathroom floors
  • Dust all lights and sconces, make-up mirrors, and lampshades
  • Perform laundry duties as assigned
  • Notify Supervisor of all quality control issues or needed repairs pertaining to the housekeeping of the facility
  • Maintain awareness of safety issues, and report them immediately to your manager
