Job Description
Safe Harbor Marinas, LLC (SHM) stands as the largest owner and operator of marinas globally, representing a dynamic and fast-growing company focused on serving the vibrant boating community across its extensive network. SHM fosters a collaborative team environment comprised of passionate individuals guided by some of the sharpest minds in the industry. At its core, SHM emphasizes critical thinking, exceptional customer service, and building lasting relationships with all stakeholders. The company is committed to professional development, offering comprehensive education and training opportunities led by highly experienced marina professionals, providing an excellent platform for career growth within the maritime and hospitality sectors.
The Housekeeper role at Safe Harbor Marinas is essential in supporting the cleanliness and upkeep of houseboats and lodging facilities, ensuring an inviting and sanitary environment for guests and team members alike. This position can be tailored depending on the specific trade focus, for example as Housekeeper (Boat Rental) or Housekeeper (Lodging), providing flexibility and variety within the role. Housekeepers are responsible for maintaining cleanliness in laundry rooms, restrooms, common areas, and property grounds. They execute routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and trash disposal, alongside restocking supplies and notifying management of repairs needed. Occasionally, they operate golf carts to assist with property maintenance or logistics.
Beyond routine cleaning, the Housekeeper plays a vital role in adhering to SHM's stringent safety and environmental standards. This includes wearing proper personal protective equipment, reporting accidents or hazards promptly, and completing required safety training. The physical demands of the role involve prolonged standing and repetitive motions such as bending and lifting up to 25 pounds, coupled with a need for a professional demeanor and positive guest interaction. Previous experience in customer service or marina settings is advantageous but not mandatory.
SHM offers a comprehensive benefits package to eligible employees, which includes a 401(k) plan, orthodontic coverage, paid time off, paid holidays, paid parental leave, fertility assistance, paid uniforms, relocation opportunities, and boating discounts. These benefits underscore SHM's dedication to employee well-being and work-life balance, appealing to individuals who desire to grow professionally while enjoying a supportive work environment.
Working at Safe Harbor Marinas means joining a team that values dignity, respect, humility, and a proactive approach to work. The company promotes continuous communication, responsiveness, and adaptability in a fast-paced and evolving industry. SHM is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion, ensuring fair employment practices across all its facilities. This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to contribute to an industry-leading organization, enhance their skill set, and deliver high levels of service to marina guests and teammates.
