The role of Housekeeper / Floor Technician at Acts Retirement-Life Communities offers an excellent entry-level opportunity with on-the-job training. This position focuses on maintaining cleanliness and the aesthetic quality of community environments through comprehensive floor care and general housekeeping duties. The primary responsibilities include daily cleaning, major floor refinishing, and periodic detailed cleaning tasks. The role requires proficient use of specialized cleaning equipment such as 20" rotos, high-speed burnishers, automatic floor machines, commercial vacuums, and 24 oz. wet mops, among other tools and cleaning products. Working with these machines ensures floors and common areas are kept in excellent condition to provide a clean, safe, and welcoming atmosphere for seniors and staff alike.
The position pays between $17.10 and $20.14 per hour, with the starting wage varying based on skills and experience. One of the notable benefits of working in this role is the next day pay option via the PayActiv program, allowing employees to access earnings immediately after their shifts. The comprehensive benefits package for team members includes health insurance (medical, prescription, dental, and vision), life insurance, disability coverage, a 401(k) plan with a 4% company match after one year of employment, paid time off, holidays, flexible spending accounts, tuition reimbursement, commuter benefits, scholarship awards, and professional development programs. Team members also enjoy additional perks like university partnerships, referral programs, employee discounts, wellness initiatives, and appreciation events.
