Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in cleaning or housekeeping preferred
- Ability to use cleaning/disinfecting solutions properly
- Capacity to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Reliable and punctual
- Willingness to follow safety protocols
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and team members
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in housekeeping or environmental services preferred
- Ability to follow detailed cleaning and safety procedures
- Strong attention to detail
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Duties
- Perform day-to-day environmental service functions as assigned
- Strip and remake beds in Independent Living areas
- Clean walls, doors, door handles/knobs, ceilings, light fixtures, vents, light switches/receptacle covers, thermostats, windows, baseboards and pictures by washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting, deodorizing, etc.
- Remove dirt, dust, grease, film etc. from surfaces using proper cleaning/disinfecting solutions
- Vacuum carpets and fill out carpet cleaning request forms when applicable
- Clean floors to include sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, disinfecting, etc. (note: assure that appropriate caution/safety signs are properly set up prior to performing such duties)
- Clean windows/mirrors in resident rooms, apartments, common areas, recreational areas, bathrooms and entrance/exit ways
- Clean, wash, sanitize and/or polish bathroom fixtures
- Clean/polish furnishings, fixtures, resident rooms, apartments, commons, recreational areas, etc., daily or as instructed
- Perform self inspections
- Perform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments
