Job Requirements

ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
demonstration of English language ability
high school diploma or equivalent experience preferred
one year of previous institutional cleaning experience preferred
one year of customer service experience preferred
vocational training and certificate preferred

Job Qualifications

one year of previous institutional cleaning experience preferably in a hospital or hospitality environment
one year of customer service experience
vocational training and certificate
ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
demonstrated ability in safe cleaning and infection control practices
competency in safe handling of medical and hazardous waste

Job Duties

perform housekeeping and related activities focusing on patient exam and inpatient rooms, surgery, utilities, and general environment
demonstrate proficiency in basic cleaning skills in patient, staff, office, clinic, or visitor areas
apply knowledge and skill in safe use of chemicals, equipment, cleaning techniques, and infection control methods
safely handle and remove medical and hazardous waste
maintain the hospital’s physical environment at highest levels of cleanliness both in appearance and infection control
communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
adhere to established quality standards for cleaning and safety
