Job Description
Join our esteemed healthcare facility as a full-time Environmental Services Associate, also known as a Housekeeper, and play an essential role in maintaining a pristine and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Our healthcare organization is committed to delivering outstanding patient care by ensuring that every area of the facility is clean, sanitary, and welcoming. As a leader in healthcare services, we prioritize infection prevention, patient safety, and a comfortable atmosphere to support the overall well-being of everyone who enters our doors.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for upholding the highest standards of cleanliness in patient rooms, common areas, and staff spaces. This position directly impacts the quality of patient care by reducing the risks associated with infections and by creating a pleasant environment that supports healing and recovery. Reporting to the Supervisor of Environmental Services, you will work closely with team members and group leaders to implement established cleaning protocols and safety guidelines consistently across the facility.
Your daily duties will involve comprehensive cleaning and sanitization tasks following strict Environmental Services standards. You will also restock supplies, maintain organized work areas, and promptly respond to cleaning requests to support patient flow and operational efficiency. This role requires a dedicated individual who can operate independently while contributing positively as part of a collaborative team. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential, as respectful interactions with patients, visitors, and staff promote a positive environment conducive to care and recovery.
The position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $18.00 to $23.00, with a scheduled day shift from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. As a full-time employee, you will benefit from stability and opportunities for professional development within Environmental Services. Our facility fosters a supportive culture that values training and growth, helping you to expand your skills and advance your career.
We are searching for candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent, though previous experience in cleaning, housekeeping, or environmental services—especially in a healthcare setting—is highly desirable. No specific licensure or certification requirements apply to this role, making it accessible to individuals committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment.
The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions and safety protocols meticulously, and excellent communication skills in English. A commitment to handling confidential information with discretion and maintaining professionalism is critical to the success of this position. Your work will have a direct and meaningful impact on patient safety and overall facility quality, making this an important and rewarding career choice within the healthcare industry.
