The currently available position is for a non-CDL Shuttle Driver, a vital role within Winter Growth’s operational framework. This full-time position involves transporting seniors and adults with disabilities to and from the day program, medical appointments, and community outings throughout the Columbia, MD area. The Shuttle Driver is responsible for ensuring the safety and comfort of passengers during transit, making a meaningful contribution to the individuals’ quality of life by facilitating access to essential services and social engagement opportunities. Besides driving duties, the Shuttle Driver supports the housekeeping team to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment at the facility. This includes daily cleaning tasks in resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and communal areas.
This role demands a person with strong attention to detail, reliability, and a caring approach. The position operates Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm, offering a competitive starting salary of $20 per hour complemented by a comprehensive benefits package. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, three weeks of paid time off, and ten paid holidays, reflecting Winter Growth’s commitment to employee welfare and work-life balance. The ideal candidate will have a valid Maryland driver’s license, a clean driving record, and the physical ability to perform duties such as pushing wheelchairs and standing for extended periods.
