Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Physical ability to operate cleaning equipment including pushing a vacuum cleaner
- Ability to lift 25 to 30 pounds regularly
- Ability to stand, reach, bend, and walk for extended periods
- Ability to work a daytime schedule Monday to Friday
- Customer service experience
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to comprehend and follow English verbal and written instructions
- US citizenship or permanent resident status
- Compliance with health and safety regulations
Job Qualifications
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent training and experience
- Are physically able to push a vacuum cleaner for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 25 to 30 pounds
- Are able to reach, stretch, bend, and walk during daily routine, with the ability to stand for long periods of time
- Are organized and able to build an independent cleaning schedule
- Are able to follow verbal and written directions in English
- Have customer service experience
- Have reliable transportation
- Ability to work Day Shift (5:40 AM - 2:00 PM) Monday through Friday and/or a flexible schedule
- Hold US Citizenship or permanent resident status, as required to access APL's facilities and networks, subject to applicable laws
Job Duties
- Perform general sweeping, scrubbing, and mopping of hardwood, laminate, or tiled floors
- Dust and polish furniture and room accessories as needed
- Dispose of trash and recycle content from bins and containers across the lab
- Sanitize sinks, basins, showers, and toilets in common area restrooms
- Clean windows, glass surfaces, mirrors, and counters as necessary
- Keep all public spaces neat and tidy
- Report repairs and replacements when encountered during your shift
- Maintain all cleaning equipment, supplies, and products
- Ensure safe and sanitary storage of products
- Vacuum, clean carpets, and maintain carpet equipment
- Adhere to health and safety policies and lab's related practices
