This opportunity is for an experienced Housekeeper/Cook to join and expand the household team. The role requires a flexible, service-minded professional with a demonstrated ability to perform housekeeping and light cooking duties skillfully and discretely. The Housekeeper/Cook will be responsible for daily housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, ironing, and organizing, ensuring that all duties are executed with precision and respect for the home’s delicate surfaces including fine art, antiques, and luxury materials. Beyond housekeeping, the successful candidate will support the Chef by preparing simple meals when the principals are in residence. This includes breakfast preparation and service, light lunches, and occasional assistance with events or entertaining guests.

Working alongside a dedicated team, this role emphasizes collaboration, discretion, and a strong attention to detail. The household requires someone with excellent references and a proven track record in private residential service. The candidate will be comfortable taking directions from the House Manager/Chef and Lead Housekeeper, under whose mentorship they will further develop their skills. Flexibility in scheduling is key; when the principals are away, the hours are generally Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., but when principals are home, the schedule becomes more demanding with earlier start times and occasional longer days. This dynamic makes the role well-suited for someone adaptable and committed to excellent service in a private household setting.

Remuneration for this position is competitive within the private service industry, offering an hourly rate of $45 to $48 depending on experience and skill level.
