Job Requirements

high school diploma or equivalent
proven experience in custodial or janitorial work
knowledge of OSHA safety protocols
ability to follow infection control procedures
physical capability to perform heavy lifting and manual tasks
effective communication skills
ability to work independently and with a team
willingness to work in person onsite

Job Qualifications

proven custodial or janitorial experience in healthcare facilities or commercial building settings is highly preferred
knowledge of OSHA regulations related to chemical handling, safe lifting practices, and environmental safety protocols
experience with healthcare infection prevention and control standards is a plus
ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently while following proper ergonomic techniques
familiarity with cleaning procedures for various surfaces including floors, carpets, glass, and fixtures
strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence

Job Duties

perform thorough cleaning of offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment
utilize proper chemical handling techniques to ensure safe use of cleaning agents while maintaining sanitation standards
operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, steam cleaners, and scrubbers to ensure optimal floor care and surface cleanliness
follow OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) safety protocols for manual handling, heavy lifting, and chemical safety to prevent injuries and accidents
maintain detailed sanitation logs and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly
adhere strictly to infection prevention and control procedures specific to healthcare facilities or commercial environments to minimize contamination risks
provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to staff or visitor requests for cleaning or assistance while maintaining a professional demeanor
