The role of School Housekeeper at KinderCare Learning Companies is instrumental in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment where children can thrive. This position involves performing essential custodial duties such as cleaning classrooms, floors, restrooms, and hallways to uphold high standards of hygiene and safety. The School Housekeeper will also be responsible for operating cleaning equipment safely and using designated chemicals in compliance with company guidelines. Proper waste disposal and recycling practices are key components of the role, ensuring the environment remains orderly and environmentally responsible.

- work safely in an environment containing chemicals, cleaning materials, dust, and noise
- understand and carry out oral and written directions
- ability to transport products and equipment from room to room
- perform physical activities such as lifting heavy items up to 50 lbs unassisted, bending, standing, climbing, twisting, and walking
- read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents

- operate cleaning equipment and use designated chemicals and other cleaning products safely and in accordance with instructions
- collect and dispose of garbage and waste according to KinderCare’s waste removal and recycling policies
- maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment
- transport products and equipment from room to room
- adhere to safety protocols when handling cleaning materials
- report maintenance issues as needed
