Job Description

Prestige Senior Living at Orchard Heights is a reputable senior care community located at 695 Orchard Heights Road NW in Salem, Oregon. This community offers a warm, home-like environment with 61 apartments dedicated to assisted living and 18 additional units. Situated conveniently near services and amenities in West Salem, Prestige Senior Living at Orchard Heights provides a clean, bright facility with ambient lighting and tall ceilings, designed to support residents in maintaining a fulfilled and dignified lifestyle. We are currently seeking a Full Time Housekeeper to join our team, working Sunday through Thursday from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm. As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of both resident rooms and common areas within our care center. Your work ensures that all spaces are hygienic, comfortable, and welcoming for residents, their families, and our healthcare team. This position requires diligence, attention to detail, and a genuine commitment to creating a healthy environment for seniors.

The Housekeeper will undertake routine cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and trash collection throughout the facility. Responsibilities include cleaning bathrooms, replenishing supplies like soap and paper products, and maintaining furniture and fixtures. Additionally, the role requires handling cleaning agents safely and effectively. Beyond routine cleaning, the Housekeeper ensures that residents’ personal belongings are respected and kept safe, always upholding a high standard of care and professionalism.

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Clean, straighten and pick up trash in common areas, offices and public rest rooms, including sinks, toilets, plumbing fixtures, mirrors, furniture and replenishing soap and paper products

  • Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors on a routine basis
  • Ensure apartments are maintained in a safe, comfortable and attractive manner, keeping residents' personal items safe
  • Clean spills, soiled areas and other conditions as observed or directed
  • Use cleaners and other hazardous materials according to product instructions and department procedure
  • Clean exterior windows, patios or other outside areas as assigned
