The role available at Daniel Island Golf Club is a unique dual-position combining housekeeping responsibilities with ladies locker room attendant duties. The position requires the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, from cleaning and sanitizing various clubhouse areas to assisting members in the ladies locker room with a courteous and professional demeanor.

In this hybrid role, the successful candidate will perform essential housekeeping functions, including cleaning and sanitizing clubhouse offices, dining areas, pro shop, restrooms, and common areas. Duties also involve maintaining floors through vacuuming and mopping, dusting furniture and fixtures, emptying trash receptacles, restocking supplies, and ensuring the clubhouse retains its premium appearance. The role also involves managing cleaning supply inventories, following safety protocols, and using cleaning chemicals properly to guarantee a safe and spotless environment.

Additionally, the role incorporates responsibilities as a ladies locker room attendant. This includes maintaining the cleanliness and organization of locker room facilities, restocking amenities such as towels and toiletries, and assisting members with any questions or information about the club. The attendant must enforce safety and security protocols while delivering exceptional customer service that aligns with the club’s high standards. Other duties include cleaning showers and vanity areas, reporting any maintenance or safety concerns promptly, distributing menus, answering food and beverage questions, taking orders, and handling billing accurately using Food and Beverage POS systems.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of comparable wait service experience
  • Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience
  • Customer service experience, particularly in upscale or hospitality environments
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform cleaning tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable and punctual attendance
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Understanding of country club or golf club environment and member expectations

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Clean and sanitize all assigned clubhouse areas including offices, dining areas, pro shop, common areas, and restrooms
  • Vacuum, mop, and maintain all floor surfaces
  • Dust furniture, fixtures, and equipment
  • Empty trash receptacles and replace liners
  • Restock supplies in restrooms and common areas
  • Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces
  • Maintain cleaning supply inventory and report needs
  • Follow safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals properly
  • Ensure clubhouse maintains premium appearance
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of ladies locker room facilities
  • Monitor and restock amenities including towels, toiletries, and supplies
  • Assist members with locker room questions and club information
  • Ensure locker room safety and security protocols are followed
  • Clean and sanitize locker room areas, showers, and vanity areas
  • Report maintenance issues or safety concerns immediately
  • Provide excellent customer service to members and guests
  • Distribute food and wine menus and answer questions
  • Ensure correct account numbers and names are given for billing
  • Efficiently serve food and drinks in a friendly manner and offer suggestions on specials and wine
  • Place orders with kitchen and inform cooks about special instructions
  • Handle charges using Food and Beverage POS systems
  • Maintain professional appearance and demeanor
  • Uphold Daniel Island Golf Club's standards of excellence and hospitality
