Job Description
We are a busy, close-knit family of five residing in Blue Ash, Cincinnati, Ohio, seeking a responsible and experienced part-time Housekeeper and Household Support professional to join our home team. Our family consists of three energetic children aged 8, 6, and 4, and a cherished King Charles Cavalier dog. Our home environment prioritizes routine, structure, and consistency to create a harmonious and efficient household. Mom works from home while dad commutes to the office, traveling occasionally, so we commit to having at least one parent at home at all times to maintain stability for our children.
As we transition into a larger home in Cincinnati, the need for dedicated household management and upkeep is essential. This role is perfect for a highly organized and dependable individual who thrives in a structured environment and takes pride in maintaining a clean, orderly, and welcoming space. The position is part-time, requiring 16 hours weekly from Monday to Thursday, 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, with a competitive pay rate of $23 to $28 per hour based on experience. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable managing various household tasks independently while providing a supportive and positive presence in the home.
The Housekeeper and Household Support role encompasses a wide array of responsibilities that go beyond cleaning. Daily duties include resetting the living spaces each morning by washing dishes, wiping surfaces, tidying toys, and sweeping designated areas to keep the home orderly. Weekly tasks focus on deep cleaning, including changing bedsheets, disinfecting bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors throughout the three-story home, vacuuming furniture to remove pet hair, and managing laundry for both adults and children. The candidate will also be expected to keep the laundry area tidy and hang-dry delicate clothing as necessary.
Monthly duties involve deep cleaning and maintenance, such as disinfecting gym equipment and sauna areas, wiping down refrigerator shelves and drawers, sweeping garages when weather permits, cleaning car interiors, and attending to kitchen appliances like ovens and stovetop filters. In addition to cleaning, there is a future scope for providing household support that includes helping with moving preparations, grocery shopping and ordering, light food preparation, mailing packages, managing returns, gift purchasing and wrapping, and coordinating pet grooming appointments.
Our family values someone who respects our home culture, as this position requires comfort in a Jewish household and the ability to maintain a smoke-free environment. The role also necessitates being comfortable around children and our small dog and having reliable transportation, with occasional errands requiring the use of the candidate's own vehicle. Up-to-date vaccinations are preferred to ensure health and safety within our home.
We are looking for a housekeeper who is detail-oriented and attentive to maintaining high cleanliness standards, but also someone who can bring warmth and adaptability to fit the rhythm of our busy household. Our new house will benefit from your expertise in household management and organizational skills, supporting us through an exciting and busy season as we settle in and beyond.
If you are committed to providing excellent household care and enjoy working in a supportive family environment with flexibility, this position offers an excellent opportunity to make a significant impact. Apply to join our family and bring your skills in housekeeping and household support to help us maintain an organized, clean, and joyful home.
