The Housekeeper Ambulatory Services position at Crothall Healthcare is a critical role designed to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in healthcare environments such as hospitals and ambulatory care units. Based at Hendrick MC North in Abilene, TX, this role is available for both full-time and part-time schedules, specifically Monday through Friday from 5:00 pm to 1:30 am, with flexibility and further details provided during the interview process. The position does not require prior experience as training is provided, making it an excellent opportunity for motivated individuals seeking to enter the healthcare support services field. Housekeepers in Ambulatory Services perform light cleaning duties which include making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms and hallways, vacuuming carpets, and maintaining sanitary conditions throughout the facility. Beyond cleaning, the role demands a strong commitment to customer service, as housekeepers interact directly with patients and visitors, responding promptly to their needs and housekeeping-related requests. This position not only requires attention to detail and an understanding of cleaning protocols specific to healthcare settings but also encourages teamwork and professionalism among associates. Job Duties

  • Provides quality customer service to customers by providing one-on-one attention to detail
  • sweeps, scrubs, mops and polishes floors
  • vacuums carpets, rugs and draperies
  • shampoos carpets, rugs and upholstery
  • dusts and polishes furniture and fittings
  • cleans metal fixtures and fittings
  • empties and cleans trash containers
  • disposes of trash in a sanitary manner
  • cleans wash basins, mirrors, tubs and showers
  • wipes down glass surfaces
  • makes up beds and changes linens as required
  • realigns furniture and amenities according to prescribed layout
  • responds to guest queries and requests
  • responds to calls for housekeeping problems, such as spills and broken glasses
  • contributes to team efforts
  • exhibits professionalism with customers, fellow associates and others
  • performs other duties as assigned
