This particular opportunity is for the position of Regular Part-Time Housekeeper A03 at the MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII - FIVE PALMS facility. The role is fundamental in maintaining the cleanliness and overall presentation of guest rooms and public areas within the base's hospitality services. The Housekeeper is responsible for various tasks such as making beds, changing linens, thoroughly cleaning rooms by dusting, waxing, polishing furniture, sweeping, vacuuming, and shampooing rugs. Additional duties include sanitizing lavatories, washing walls and windows using a ladder, dusting drapes and blinds, turning mattresses, and servicing each room with necessary amenities like soap, cups, and coffee.

Housekeepers also utilize specialized equipment such as heavy powered scrubbers and buffers for floor maintenance and are expected to report any missing or broken articles to supervisors promptly. Performing these duties requires a strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to follow safety regulations and established cleaning protocols. This position also focuses heavily on delivering meaningful customer service, maintaining a courteous and friendly demeanor when interacting with guests and the wider Marine Corps community.

Candidate responsibilities include problem-solving in real-time, escalating issues to higher-level supervisors when necessary, and adhering strictly to Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) principles and sexual harassment prevention policies. Candidates should be organized, capable of multitasking, and possess good oral and written communication skills. While a current driver's license is recommended, it is not mandatory.
