Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- one year of related experience or one year experience at lower level Housekeeper 1 or equivalent position
- valid GA drivers license

Job Duties
- Cleans and straightens assigned areas
- may collect, sort, launder, transport and distribute linens or uniforms
- cleans assigned areas according to established procedures
- observes all precautions and risk management procedures for cleaning, waste disposal and chemical use
- completes all cleaning assignments within established time frame and according to department standards
- ensures laundry, housekeeping and floor equipment is in good working condition
- thoroughly cleans facilities as assigned such as visitor centers, group areas, rest rooms
- thoroughly cleans dishes, fireplaces, curtains, porches, decks, appliances as needed
- thoroughly cleans floors and walls using appropriate equipment and solutions
- picks up litter inside and outside of facility and empties trash receptacles regularly
- maintains and stocks equipment and supplies as needed
- restocks soap, paper and other dispensers as needed
- may mend linens and assist in preventative maintenance and repair
- observes required safety precautions in disposing of contaminated refuse
- secures windows and doors before leaving rooms or vacant buildings
- operates hand tools and power cleaning equipment
- conducts review of assigned area before leaving
- ensures all equipment and furniture is returned to appropriate locations
- creates and maintains a high performance environment characterized by positive leadership and strong team orientation
