A strong focus is placed on adhering to established cleaning procedures and observing safety protocols related to waste disposal and chemical use. The Housekeeper 2 is expected to complete all cleaning assignments within set timelines while meeting departmental standards.
This role also involves monitoring and maintaining cleaning equipment and supplies to ensure they are in good working condition. Attention to detail is crucial, as responsibilities include spot cleaning, picking up litter both inside and outside the facility, restocking dispensers for soap and paper supplies, and securing windows and doors when leaving rooms or buildings. Candidates must be capable of operating hand tools and power cleaning equipment safely and effectively. Preventative maintenance and minor repairs may occasionally be required, including mending linens.

Job Duties
- Cleans and straightens assigned areas
- May collect, sort, launder, transport and distribute linens or uniforms
- Cleans assigned areas according to established procedures
- Observes all precautions and risk management procedures for cleaning, waste disposal and chemical use
- Completes all cleaning assignments within established time frame and according to department standards
- Ensures laundry, housekeeping and floor equipment is in good working condition
- Thoroughly cleans facilities such as visitor centers, group areas, rest rooms
- Thoroughly cleans dishes, fireplaces, curtains, porches, decks, appliances
- Thoroughly cleans floors and walls using appropriate equipment and solutions
- Picks up litter inside and outside of facility and empties trash receptacles on a regular basis
- Maintains and stocks equipment and supplies as needed
- Restocks soap, paper and other dispensers
- May mend linens and assist in preventative maintenance and repair
- Observes required safety precautions in disposing of contaminated refuse
- Secures windows and doors before leaving rooms or vacant buildings
- Operates hand tools and power cleaning equipment
- Conducts review of assigned area before leaving work area
- Ensures all equipment and furniture is returned to appropriate locations
- Creates and maintains a high performance environment characterized by positive leadership and strong team orientation
