Job Description
Drury Hotels is a renowned hospitality company known for its commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences and a supportive working environment for its employees. Operating with properties across the United States, including its location at 1124 Eastern Blvd., Montgomery, Alabama, Drury Hotels prides itself on fostering a team environment where every member is valued not just for what they do, but for who they are. This company has earned numerous accolades over the years, notably being ranked among Newsweek's America's Greatest Workplaces 2025, which speaks volumes about its dedication to employee satisfaction and corporate culture.
As a well-established mid-tier hotel chain, Drury Hotels offers full-service accommodations to business travelers and families alike, emphasizing cleanliness, comfort, and extra amenities at no additional cost. The company’s core value is centered on teamwork and mutual success; this is reflected in their incentive programs where employees share in the hotel’s financial success through quarterly bonuses that can total up to $3200 per year. Moreover, Drury Hotels is deeply invested in the personal and professional growth of its staff, providing career development opportunities such as mentorship, cross-training, and management training programs, with over 200 internal promotions reported in recent years.
The company also prioritizes work-life balance, offering flexible scheduling, paid time off, hotel discounts, and free room nights to ensure employees can maintain a healthy lifestyle alongside their work commitments. Health and wellness benefits are extensive, covering medical, dental, vision, prescription drugs, life, disability insurance, and access to a Team Member Assistance Program. Additionally, Drury Hotels supports employees' long-term financial security with a company-matched 401(k) retirement plan.
The role of housekeeper at Drury Hotels is both essential and rewarding. This position plays a vital part in crafting memorable stays by ensuring guest rooms are impeccably clean and welcoming. Housekeepers contribute significantly to the overall guest experience by maintaining high standards of cleanliness that exceed competitors’ offerings. On a daily basis, team members perform tasks such as vacuuming, changing linens, cleaning bathrooms, replenishing supplies, and visually inspecting rooms to identify any maintenance issues. The role requires a friendly customer service attitude and a commitment to creating a positive environment for both guests and coworkers.
This position is open for both full-time and part-time applicants, with immediate hiring available. Competitive starting hourly pay is offered, complemented by the potential for quarterly bonuses tied to hotel performance. Importantly, previous cleaning experience is not required, making this an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to enter the hospitality industry or those seeking a fresh start. The job requires basic education equivalent to two years of high school and the ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
Members of the housekeeping team at Drury Hotels describe the workplace as tight-knit and family-like, highlighting the company’s culture of support and respect. Employees are encouraged to grow within the company, as many hotel managers began their careers in frontline roles similar to housekeepers. Working weekends, especially Saturdays and Sundays, may be a requirement given the hotel’s busiest days.
Overall, working at Drury Hotels provides a fulfilling career path with competitive compensation, extensive benefits, and opportunities for advancement. The company’s dedication to excellence and employee well-being makes it a stellar choice for those seeking a stable and rewarding hospitality career.
