The center not only addresses general psychiatric needs but also offers specialized programs designed to support youth with more serious challenges, ensuring a holistic approach to mental health care. Established as a premier provider in its field, Harbor Point operates under full accreditation from The Joint Commission and the Virginia Association of Independent Specialized Educational Facilities. It is licensed by both the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services and the Virginia Department of Education, reinforcing its commitment to maintaining the highest standards of care and education. Moreover, Harbor Point is a TRICARE-approved and certified facility, making it accessible to a broader spectrum of families seeking quality behavioral health services.
Harbor Point is part of Universal Health Services, one of the nation’s largest and most respected providers of hospital and healthcare services. Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS) is a Fortune 500 company recognized for its outstanding achievements and consistent growth, with annual revenues reaching $17.4 billion in 2025. Headquartered in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, UHS employs approximately 101,500 professionals and continues to expand through its subsidiaries. UHS operates a diverse range of healthcare facilities across 40 states, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, and the United Kingdom, including acute care hospitals, behavioral health facilities, outpatient centers, ambulatory care points, and a physician network.
The role available at Harbor Point Behavioral Health Center is for a dedicated Custodian who will maintain an orderly, clean, and sanitary environment that promotes the well-being of residents, staff, and visitors. This full-time position demands attention to detail and physical exertion to ensure that both the facility’s indoor and outdoor spaces meet high standards of cleanliness and safety. The custodian is responsible for a variety of essential tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, stripping and polishing floors, cleaning walls, ceilings, windows, sinks, and plumbing fixtures, and maintaining supply closets and cleaning equipment.
Additional duties include managing trash removal twice daily, ensuring fire stairwells and elevator surfaces remain free of debris, supporting emergency sanitation efforts, moving heavy furniture, setting up conference and meeting rooms, and preparing resident beds for new admissions. This position also requires daily disinfection of every resident room to uphold hygiene standards essential for a healthcare environment.
