The role available is for a passionate Housekeeper who will play an integral part in maintaining a clean, healthy, and hygienic environment for residents and staff within the nursing homes under Ohana Pacific Health. As a Housekeeper, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that every facility is orderly, safe, and welcoming. The position requires dedication to infection control standards, particularly when managing tasks such as collecting dirty linen and handling resident laundry. This role is vital in supporting the health and well-being of residents by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. The scheduling for this full-time position is from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Wednesday through Sunday, with Mondays and Tuesdays off. Job Requirements
- Housekeeping experience in health care or commercial setting preferred
- Current and valid 2 Step TB clearance and health review (can be done in-house)
- Ability to work from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm Wednesday through Sunday
- Physically able to perform cleaning duties
- Willingness to comply with company policies and procedures
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality and respect resident privacy
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare or commercial setting preferred
- Ability to follow infection control and safety standards
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Reliable and punctual work ethic
Job Duties
- Ensure a clean, orderly, and safe environment for residents and staff
- Follow infection control standards when collecting dirty linen and handling resident laundry
- Maintain hygiene and cleanliness throughout the nursing home facilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and waste disposal
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to appropriate personnel
- Support team efforts to uphold the quality and reputation of Ohana Pacific Health
- Assist in the setup and organization of resident rooms and common areas
