UAMS is currently hiring for a temporary Skilled Labor position within the Campus Life department, specifically housekeeping/floor technician roles. This temporary role will last from May to August and focuses primarily on maintaining cleanliness and floor care within residence halls during the crucial summer months when students vacate and return. The position offers a day shift schedule and a salary of $15 per hour. It is important to note this is a fixed-term employment opportunity, not eligible for sponsorship, and does not provide benefits eligibility. Essential duties include detailed cleaning and refinishing of floors, maintaining both living and common areas, and supporting the housekeeping team to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming residential environment for students returning in the fall. This role is designed for candidates with a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of related housekeeping, hospitality, or facility maintenance experience. Preferred candidates would have up to two years of vocational training or practical experience in floor care, including tasks such as stripping, waxing, and buffing floors.
