The Housekeeper position at The Venetian Resort is pivotal to preserving the impeccable standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction that the resort is known for. This role involves servicing assigned guest suites to the highest standards by ensuring cleanliness, addressing guest needs, and reporting maintenance issues promptly. The Housekeeper directly impacts guest experience by maintaining immaculate guest rooms, providing personalized services such as turndown, and responding graciously and efficiently to guest inquiries or concerns. Additionally, this role requires knowledge and adherence to health and safety regulations, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment with attention to environmental and occupational safety standards. Housekeepers must be physically capable of performing demanding tasks such as lifting, bending, and operating vacuum equipment, often within a fast-paced hotel environment. Job Requirements
- 18 years of age
- Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any other certification or license as required by law or policy
- Must be available for performing turndown service for evenings as needed
- Complete and record tasks using both electronic and paper tracking
- Must be able to work varied shifts including nights weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Six months of related experience in housekeeping professional cleaning and/or exposure to the hospitality industry preferred
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English both in spoken and written form
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other team members of different backgrounds and levels of experience
Job Duties
- Clean guest suites by category priority including bathrooms showers tubs sleeping and general suite areas following all company and departmental policies and procedures
- Complete required suite cleaning credits daily
- Keep housekeeping cart clean at all times and well stocked with clean linen and supplies
- Ensure linen is clean and up to standards by following the reject linen process
- Remove soil dirt soap build up and hair from bathroom mirrors vanity sink toilet shower walls bathtub shower curtain and floor
- Replenish all paper products such as facial tissue toilet tissue and/or bathroom amenities in correct amounts and locations
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness sanitation and organization of assigned work areas
- Replace soiled bed sheets and turn down beds set radio to designated station and volume refresh ice bucket tray and glasses close drapes and shutters set lighting and thermostat to designated levels remove room service trays/tables/items from suite to elevator service landing
- Safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment in accordance with OSHA regulations and company and departmental policies including the use of personal protective equipment and safety practices
