The Housekeeper position at Cedarhurst Senior Living plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and comfort of the community. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Director, the Housekeeper is responsible for performing a wide range of housekeeping and laundry tasks that help create a welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This role ensures that resident apartments, common areas, restrooms, and offices are cleaned and maintained according to established policies, procedures, and schedules. Beyond cleaning duties, the Housekeeper supports operations by restocking supplies, reporting repair needs, collaborating with maintenance personnel, and communicating effectively with residents and their families.

The Housekeeper’s responsibilities extend to managing soiled and clean linens carefully to uphold health and hygiene standards critical in a senior living community. The role requires initiative, teamwork, and the ability to effectively intervene and resolve conflicts that may arise among residents, families, or staff. Physical demands include walking or standing for extended periods, lifting items up to 50 pounds independently and up to 200 pounds with assistance, and occasionally stooping or climbing. The position also adheres strictly to infection prevention and control protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
