Job Description

The Towne House is a renowned retirement community that offers vibrant lifestyles, comprehensive care, and long-term security for its residents. As part of BHI Senior Living, a well-respected and well-funded non-profit organization in the Midwest, The Towne House operates with faith-based values that guide every decision made to ensure excellence, compassion, and innovation in senior care. BHI Senior Living manages ten Life Plan Communities and two Active Adult Communities across Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio, providing a supportive environment focused on the well-being and growth of its residents and staff. With over 50 years of dedicated service, The Towne House has become a trusted name among seniors and families seeking exceptional care and a close-knit community atmosphere.

The Housekeeper role at The Towne House is vital to maintaining the safety, comfort, and cleanliness of the community for both residents and team members. This position is full-time, with a shift from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, and offers competitive hourly pay along with meaningful opportunities for professional growth. Housekeepers contribute significantly by ensuring that all resident units, common areas, and facilities are kept in pristine condition. Responsibilities include cleaning various spaces such as bathing areas, lounges, offices, hallways, dining areas, and public bathrooms using thorough and methodical cleaning procedures. The role also involves maintaining equipment and storage areas, managing linens, and adhering to all infection control protocols.

Working at The Towne House means becoming part of a supportive team environment dedicated to serving the aging population with compassion and respect. Employees benefit from paid time off, 401k matching, access to a free medical clinic, and amenities including an onsite fitness center, salon, massage therapy, and café. The position is suited for individuals who can work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and have a passion for positively impacting the lives of older adults. While prior housekeeping experience and a high school diploma or GED are preferred, the community values those eager to learn and grow within the role through on-the-job training and support.

The Towne House is committed to equal opportunity employment, ensuring all qualified applicants receive consideration without discrimination based on race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other legally protected characteristic. Joining The Towne House means becoming part of a mission-driven organization that values diversity, inclusion, and the wellbeing of every member of its community. This position offers both a chance to contribute meaningfully to seniors’ lives and the opportunity to thrive in a professional and compassionate workplace.
