In the role of Housekeeper, you will be responsible for performing deep and specialized terminal cleaning of patient rooms after discharge to prepare them for safe re-admission. This position requires meticulous attention to detail to ensure that all patient rooms, exam rooms, isolation rooms, and treatment areas are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected using hospital-grade chemicals. Your work directly impacts patient safety and health by maintaining optimal sanitation standards. This role also demands respect for patient privacy and a sense of pride in the quality of work performed.
The Housekeeper will engage daily in several critical tasks such as cleaning and sanitizing common areas and patient rooms, managing waste including bio-hazardous materials, and restocking supplies to maintain readiness. You will be expected to follow strict cleaning and disinfection protocols to prevent the spread of infectious diseases and utilize heavy-duty cleaning equipment safely and effectively. - Utilizing basic housekeeping practices and procedures
- Proper handling and disposal of infectious waste
- Proper safety skills in handling housekeeping chemicals
- Acute healthcare work experience involving the use of heavy equipment such as buffer extractors, wide area vacuums, and wet vacuums

Job Duties
- Clean and sanitize patient rooms, common areas, and other areas
- Follow established cleaning and disinfection protocols and procedures
- Collect and dispose of waste, bio-hazardous waste and linens
- Stock and maintain supplies in patient rooms and common areas
- Respond to requests for cleaning services from health-care staff
- Operate heavy-duty equipment and use special cleaning equipment
