Job Description
Marriott Vacations Worldwide (MVW) is a renowned leader in the vacation ownership industry, dedicated to creating memorable and meaningful moments for travelers around the globe. As part of the Marriott family, MVW is committed to delivering outstanding vacation experiences to its Owners and guests while fostering a supportive, friendly, and engaging work environment for its employees. The company operates with a strong emphasis on quality, service excellence, and employee growth, making it an employer of choice within the hospitality sector. Known for its innovative approach to vacation ownership, MVW combines the trusted Marriott brand with unique vacation experiences to ensure that every guest’s stay is exceptional and fulfilling.
As a Housekeeper at Marriott Vacations Worldwide, you will play a vital role in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and comfort that our Owners and guests expect. This position is full-time, regular employment offering a competitive hourly wage of $21.80. Working weekends and holidays is required, but a valid U.S. driver’s license is not necessary for this role. The primary goal of the Housekeeper position is to ensure that villas—comprising kitchens, bathrooms, dining rooms, and bedrooms—are cleaned thoroughly and restocked with all necessary amenities, including linens, towels, toiletries, and kitchen supplies. Your attention to detail and dedication directly contribute to the overall vacation experience, helping to create lasting memories for every guest.
In this role, you will be responsible for completing your assigned rooms and tasks within each scheduled shift while maintaining adherence to company policies and standards. Communication is key, as you will report room status and any maintenance issues to the appropriate management personnel. You will also be tasked with operating housekeeping carts efficiently and complying with safety and operational protocols.
At MVW, we recognize that happy employees lead to satisfied guests. To support this, we offer a comprehensive package of benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) opportunities, tuition reimbursement, travel discounts, and access to professional counseling and family support services. Career growth and development are highly encouraged, and team members have opportunities to advance within the organization through continuous learning and development programs. The company also provides credit union membership and emphasizes an inclusive culture, committed to equal opportunity and diversity in the workplace.
Becoming a Housekeeper at MVW means embracing a role that requires physical stamina, flexibility, and a proactive mindset. You will need to be available for various shifts, including holidays and weekends, and be comfortable performing physical tasks such as bending, stooping, lifting and carrying items up to 25 pounds. Your contributions help ensure that each guest enjoys a clean and welcoming environment, reinforcing MVW's commitment to excellence in hospitality.
Joining Marriott Vacations Worldwide means becoming part of a global leader that is passionate about enriching lives through unforgettable vacation experiences and fostering a work environment where team members thrive, learn, and grow. If you are dedicated to quality, enjoy working in a team-oriented environment, and want to contribute to creating happiness for travelers, this Housekeeper role offers a rewarding career path in the hospitality industry.
