Job Description
The hiring establishment is a residential apartment community dedicated to providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for its residents. The role available is that of a Housekeeper, a crucial position responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order throughout the apartment community. This full-time role typically operates around a schedule from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., including weekend shifts, to meet the needs of the property effectively. The Housekeeper’s responsibilities extend beyond typical residential cleaning tasks to include the upkeep of community spaces such as the pool area, clubhouse, fitness center, business center, and laundry rooms.
In this role, the Housekeeper will perform apartment turnover cleaning, ensuring that apartments are spotless and ready for new residents by cleaning bathrooms, kitchens, floors, and all appliances. The Housekeeper will also be involved in regular cleaning of unfurnished apartments aimed at preparing living spaces to a high standard. Importantly, this role involves custodial duties that contribute directly to the smooth operation and attractive appearance of the apartment community.
A significant part of the position includes attention to detail and a commitment to thoroughness, from making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and wiping surfaces, to handling special projects assigned by supervisors. The Housekeeper is expected to demonstrate professionalism, initiative, integrity, and personal awareness in all aspects of their work. Confidentiality and a respectful attitude toward residents and co-workers are essential traits.
The role requires the ability to interact positively with residents, coworkers, supervisors, and vendors. The Housekeeper must maintain a cooperative attitude and provide excellent customer service to support a comfortable and pleasant living environment for the community residents. Flexibility in scheduling and a readiness to respond to the property’s needs is vital for success in this role.
This position is well-suited for individuals who enjoy physical work and take pride in making spaces clean and welcoming. Physical tasks such as standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 25 pounds, and using hands in detailed cleaning activities are part of the regular duties.
