The position of Housekeeper at The Venetian Resort is integral to this commitment to excellence. The primary responsibility of the Housekeeper is to clean and service assigned guest suites to the highest standards of cleanliness and guest service. This role involves meticulous attention to detail in cleaning various suite areas including bathrooms, sleeping areas, and general suite spaces, following all departmental and company policies and procedures. Additionally, the Housekeeper is responsible for reporting any maintenance issues and handling guest requests or complaints, ensuring that all concerns are addressed promptly to enhance the guest experience.
Housekeepers at The Venetian Resort must perform their duties with a strong sense of professionalism and dedication. This includes managing housekeeping carts, ensuring they are clean and fully stocked with linens and supplies, and using cleaning chemicals and equipment safely in compliance with OSHA regulations. Job Requirements
- 18 years of age
- proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- must be able to obtain and maintain any other certification or license as required by law or policy
- six months of related experience in housekeeping professional cleaning or exposure to the hospitality industry preferred
- must be available for performing turndown service for evenings as needed
- complete and record tasks using both electronic and paper tracking
- ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English both in spoken and written form
- strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other team members of different backgrounds and levels of experience
- must be able to work varied shifts including nights weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- six months of related experience in housekeeping professional cleaning and or exposure to the hospitality industry preferred
- ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English both in spoken and written form
- strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other team members of different backgrounds and levels of experience
- must be available for performing turndown service for evenings as needed

Job Duties
- Clean guest suites by category priority including bathrooms showers tubs sleeping and general suite areas following all company and departmental policies and procedures
- complete required suite cleaning credits daily
- keep housekeeping cart clean at all times and well-stocked with clean linen and supplies
- ensure linen is clean and up to standards by following the reject linen process
- remove soil dirt soap build-up and hair from bathroom mirrors vanity sink toilet shower walls bathtub shower curtain and floor
- replenish all paper products such as facial tissue toilet tissue and or bathroom amenities in correct amounts and locations
- monitor and maintain cleanliness sanitation and organization of assigned work areas
- replace soiled bed sheets and turn down beds set radio to designated station and volume refresh ice bucket tray and glasses close drapes and shutters set lighting and thermostat to designated levels remove room service trays tables items from suite to elevator service landing
- safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment in accordance with OSHA regulations and company and departmental policies including the use of personal protective equipment and safety practices
