Sodexo is a leading global provider of integrated facilities management and food services, committed to improving the quality of life for those they serve while contributing to social, economic, and environmental progress in the communities where they operate. Partnering with a wide range of clients, Sodexo delivers a memorable experience through a comprehensive portfolio that includes food service, catering, and facilities management. Their mission is grounded in respect, fairness, and inclusion, cultivating an environment where every employee is valued and appreciated for their unique contributions. As an organization, Sodexo fosters a culture of belonging with a focus on equal employment opportunities regardless of race, color, religion, gender identity, or other protected characteristics, ensuring that every team member can thrive authentically.
The Housekeeper role at Sodexo, based at Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, is a full-time position offering a competitive pay rate of $23.00 per hour with afternoon and evening shifts on varying days. Working in this role means being more than just a cleaner; you become an ambassador of cleanliness and hygiene, ensuring safe, welcoming, and healthy environments for patients, staff, and visitors alike. Your main objective is to maintain spotless spaces throughout the hospital, ranging from patient rooms and common areas to food service zones and lavatories, actively supporting health and safety standards.
This role is essential to the overall hospital experience, where attention to detail, reliability, and a positive attitude all contribute to creating comfort and trust in a healthcare setting. Housekeepers at Sodexo are expected to complete scheduled cleaning tasks meticulously while possibly using specialized equipment, such as golf carts, to navigate the client premises efficiently. Timeliness and consistent attendance are key, as the hospital environment depends heavily on cleanliness as a measure of care and professionalism.
Sodexo offers a supportive and flexible workplace culture that acknowledges the importance of work-life balance and career growth. Employees receive ongoing training and development opportunities, enabling them to evolve their skills and potentially advance within the company. Benefits offered include paid time off, holidays, medical, dental, and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, 401k savings plans, employee discount programs, and more. Certain locations may provide additional perks such as free meals, uniforms, safety shoes, and transportation assistance.
Overall, joining Sodexo as a Housekeeper means becoming part of a global team dedicated to creating a better everyday for everyone. You'll be recognized for your dedication, treated with respect, and empowered to contribute meaningfully to patient care environments in one of the critical sectors of the community. Sodexo values your individuality while encouraging collaboration and teamwork, making this a fulfilling opportunity to build a stable career in facilities management and hospitality services within the healthcare industry.
