This role is based at Wesley Court, located at 2617 Antilley Road in Abilene, Texas. The position offers an hourly pay range of $12.52 to $17.25, reflecting Lifespace’s commitment to providing competitive compensation that values the contributions of every team member. As part of the Environmental Services team, this role is vital to maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of both private resident homes and common community spaces. Environmental Services team members play a key role in promoting a safe, hygienic, and welcoming environment for residents, which directly supports their health, comfort, and well-being.

The Environmental Services team member is responsible for a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks designed to uphold Lifespace’s high standards. Duties include cleaning and disinfecting washrooms, floors, and other surfaces in resident rooms and public areas. Maintaining the care and organization of residents’ belongings during cleaning activities is also a crucial function, requiring attention to detail and respect for personal property. The role demands efficiency and timeliness, particularly when preparing rooms for new residents following transfers or discharges. This requires cleaning tasks to be completed swiftly and thoroughly, ensuring rooms are ready for occupancy without delay.

In addition to routine cleaning, team members must follow specific procedures for isolation rooms, adhering to infection control and isolation guidelines established by the department to prevent the spread of illness. Proper handling, labeling, and storage of cleaning chemicals and supplies is essential for workplace safety and compliance. Environmental Services staff also have responsibility for managing their supplies and equipment, keeping their work carts organized, stocked, and secured when unattended to maintain a safe environment for residents and staff alike.
