The role being offered is for a Housekeeper position, which is critical in sustaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the community. The Housekeeper is entrusted with cleaning duties encompassing common areas, resident apartments, and other facility spaces such as offices. This position requires diligent attention to detail, especially in maintaining the cleanliness of bathrooms and ensuring the proper operation of laundry equipment when needed. The Housekeeper must also monitor and report any maintenance issues or damage found within the building to the housekeeping supervisor, thereby supporting the upkeep and safety of the community.
Additional responsibilities include cleaning windows, dusting furniture and blinds, vacuuming floors, and attending to apartments at resident move-out. The position demands adherence to policies related to resident privacy and confidentiality, highlighting the importance of trust and discretion in this environment. The role requires physical stamina, including the ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift heavy objects regularly. - housekeeping experience highly desired
- ability to understand verbal and written instructions
- ability to complete assignments thoroughly and on time
- ability to work well with others as part of a team
- polite and courteous to all residents, visitors, co-workers and management team
- must be able to stand, walk, kneel, bend, grasp, push and pull for extended periods of time
- must be able to lift 25 lbs and carry heavy objects for up to 20 feet
- must wear designated uniform during work hours and maintain good personal hygiene
- must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays

Job Duties
- clean common living areas and resident apartments in the community
- oversee cleaning of the entire facility with emphasis on common areas and apartment bathrooms
- complete maintenance request reports when needed
- report deterioration or damage to the building and furnishings to housekeeping supervisor
- operate laundry equipment when needed
- report inadequate supplies to housekeeping supervisor
- use approved cleaning products and ensure proper storage of cleaning supplies
- clean office areas when assigned
- dust and clean window blinds
- dust furniture, bookshelves in resident apartments and common areas
- vacuum common areas and resident apartments
- keep common area and resident bathrooms clean
- clean apartments at resident move-out
- attend required in-services and staff meetings
- maintain resident privacy and confidentiality
- follow policies regarding release of resident information
- perform other duties as assigned
