The role of Housekeeper at Asset Living is integral to maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appeal of apartment communities under the company's management. This is a full-time position with compensation starting at $22 per hour. The Housekeeper is responsible for daily cleaning and upkeep of public facilities, common areas, and grounds, as well as ensuring vacant units are made ready for new residents in alignment with the property’s operational standards. Working under the supervision of the Community Manager, the Housekeeper performs a variety of cleaning tasks, including general cleaning, trash removal, and upkeep of community offices and amenities. The position requires regular onsite attendance and responsiveness to both management and resident service requests. It demands a proactive approach to safety compliance, policy adherence, and excellent customer service.
The Housekeeper plays a vital role in ensuring that all community spaces are welcoming and well-maintained, positively reflecting the property's reputation and contributing to resident satisfaction. This position requires a strong understanding of relevant policies such as Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements. It involves physical duties that include lifting, climbing, and working in various environmental conditions. Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer skills required
- Ability to understand and perform all on-site software functions
- Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 lbs, climbing ladders and stairs, working in various environmental conditions
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and night hours when necessary
- Good communication skills to exchange information
- Ability to follow safety procedures and company policies
Job Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree preferred or one year’s experience in the housing industry
- Ability to understand and perform all on-site software functions

Job Duties
- Community housekeeping
- Regular/daily onsite attendance is required
- Responsible for general cleaning and trash removal of grounds and residential areas, including make-ready units and common areas
- Responsible for cleaning and preparing vacant units for move-in
- Responsible for cleaning and upkeep daily of community’s offices, amenities, etc.
- Respond to resident/management requests and work orders for community common areas, buildings, and units in a timely manner
- Responsible for understanding and following Asset key policy
- Report any observed violations of community rules and regulations to the Community Manager
- Utilize property resources, equipment and supplies economically
- Perform additional tasks and responsibilities requested by Community Manager
- Manage excellent customer service and monitor service request turnaround and responsiveness
- Project a favorable image of the community to achieve property objectives and public recognition
- Ensure consistency in dealing with residents on all matters
- Enforce policies of the community that the immediate supervisor delegates
