The role available at York Gardens Senior Living is for a full-time Housekeeper/Cleaner who plays an integral role in maintaining the overall cleanliness and safety of the community. This position involves creating a clean, safe, and pleasant environment for senior residents, staff members, and visitors. The Housekeeper/Cleaner will be responsible for cleaning both resident rooms and community common areas, ensuring that all living spaces meet the high standards of hygiene and comfort required in a senior living setting. This includes duties such as vacuuming carpets, sweeping and mopping hard surfaces, dusting, sanitizing bathrooms, and cleaning windows and mirrors. The role demands attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently to complete assignments within set time frames. Safely handling cleaning chemicals and equipment while adhering to OSHA standards and safety protocols is essential to the position. Additional responsibilities cover emergency spill cleanup, light maintenance assistance, and maintaining the housekeeping cart and storage areas. The position operates Monday through Friday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, working 80 hours over two weeks, qualifying it as a full-time role.
