Reporting directly to the Executive Housekeeper and Housekeeping Supervisor, this position is classified as non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act, indicating that it is an hourly position. The Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring guest rooms meet the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort, which includes tasks such as making beds, changing linens, and thoroughly cleaning bathrooms. Additionally, the role involves maintaining public spaces like lobbies and hallways, which are essential for creating a positive first impression.

Attention to detail is paramount in this position. Housekeepers must ensure that all amenities are properly stocked and arranged, report maintenance issues promptly, and assist with laundry duties. Job Duties

  • Clean and prepare guest rooms including making beds changing linens cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms dusting and vacuuming
  • Ensure that all room amenities are in their designated places
  • Clean and maintain the cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies hallways and common spaces
  • Ensure cleaning supplies and amenities are well-stocked and request replenishments when necessary
  • Report maintenance or repair issues in guest rooms or public areas to the appropriate department
  • Follow hotel procedures for handling and reporting lost and found items
  • Assist with laundry duties including washing drying and folding linens and towels
  • Respond to guest requests for additional amenities or services promptly and professionally
  • Respect guests' privacy and maintain security by properly handling room keys and following hotel security protocols
  • Ensure rooms and public areas meet the hotel’s cleanliness and maintenance standards
  • Adapt to a variety of tasks including other duties as assigned
  • Participate in department meetings and maintain open communication with colleagues
  • Obtain any required certifications relevant to the job
