A distinguished Executive couple residing in the prestigious Wesley Heights neighborhood of Washington, DC, is actively seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Housekeeper to join their household. The retiring current housekeeper will assist during the transition period, especially with pet care responsibilities involving the family’s small dogs, ensuring continuity and a supportive handover.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with at least five years of demonstrated experience in high-end residential housekeeping. Verifiable references and exceptional attention to detail are critical, as is comprehensive knowledge of fabric care, stain removal, ironing, steaming, and managing dry cleaning. The successful applicant must be highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of anticipating the household's evolving needs, contributing to a well-ordered and pristine environment. The role also requires comfort with light meal preparation and an ability to follow and maintain cleaning schedules developed with the household principals. The work schedule is Monday through Friday with preferred start times ranging from 10:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., offering some flexibility to accommodate the family’s needs. There may also be occasions requiring overnight stays when Mrs. Lehr travels frequently with their pets, so openness to these needs is essential. Compensation ranges from $45 to $55 per hour, commensurate with experience, and qualified candidates will be provided with a comprehensive benefits package.
