Job Description

KOA, also known as Kampgrounds of America, is a widely recognized network of family-friendly campgrounds throughout the United States, including the Lakeside KOA located just 3.5 miles from historic downtown Fort Collins, Colorado. This establishment is a vibrant, fun, and welcoming campground that caters to families and outdoor enthusiasts seeking memorable camping experiences. With its beautiful natural setting, top-notch facilities, and commitment to guest satisfaction, Fort Collins Lakeside KOA provides an enriching environment for both visitors and employees alike.

The Fort Collins Lakeside KOA is now hiring immediately for a Housekeeper position, offering an hourly wage between $18 and $20. Employment is on an hourly basis, and the role is an essential part of maintaining the high standards that KOA guests have come to expect. The Housekeeper reports to the designated supervisor and general manager, working closely with the housekeeping team to ensure cleanliness and order across the campground.

The Housekeeper plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, sanitary, comfortable, and orderly environment throughout the KOA property. This includes cleaning private offices, public common areas such as the general store and restrooms, as well as the accommodation units where guests stay. The position demands a strong commitment to upholding brand and departmental standards. Beyond cleaning duties, the housekeeper consistently offers professional, friendly, and engaging customer service, contributing to the overall guest experience. Proper maintenance and use of housekeeping tools and equipment is a critical aspect of the job.

This role operates as part of a diverse, team-oriented environment with the shared goal of exceeding brand standards and ensuring guest satisfaction. The housekeeper is tasked with cleaning and styling accommodation rooms and public areas efficiently, paying great attention to detail and completing tasks within prescribed time standards. They are expected to refresh guest rooms with amenities and supplies and proactively prevent guest challenges by inspecting their work and communicating any maintenance needs.

Timeliness is key in completing maintenance requests, and the housekeeper is encouraged to take ownership of resolving guest challenges, collaborating effectively with the guest services team and property leadership. Additional responsibilities include handling lost and found items, adhering to health and safety regulations, managing bed linens, laundry tasks, trash removal, dusting, floor vacuuming and sweeping, sanitizing kitchens and bathrooms, and securing master room keys responsibly.

The housekeeper also conserves energy by managing room conditions such as closing shades and adjusting air conditioning, while ensuring the campground remains tidy and well-maintained. Flexibility in working nights, weekends, and holidays is expected, as is the ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments across various weather conditions.

Overall, the Housekeeper position at Fort Collins Lakeside KOA is perfect for motivated, goal-oriented individuals who thrive in fast-paced settings and are driven to deliver exceptional cleanliness and guest experiences.
