The Housekeeper role at Legend Senior Living is an essential position within the maintenance team, focused on maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of residents’ apartments and common areas. This role is designed for individuals who are committed to contributing positively to the lives of seniors by ensuring their living spaces are clean, safe, and welcoming. As part of the team, the Housekeeper will be responsible for a variety of cleaning tasks that include making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and managing trash removal.
In addition to regular cleaning duties, the Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining the housekeeping cart, ensuring it is clean, well-stocked, and properly labeled. The role may also extend to related duties like assisting with laundry or cleaning up spills whenever necessary. Job Requirements
- Experience in a similar position is preferred but not required
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Must pass company drug screening as required
- Must be able to perform physical tasks associated with housekeeping
- Basic English language skills
- Reliable and punctual attendance
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred but not required
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed
Job Duties
- Cleaning resident rooms and common areas including making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and trash removal
- Maintaining the housekeeping cart by keeping it clean, stocked and labeled
- Assisting with related duties such as laundry or spill cleanup as needed
- Adhering to company cleanliness and safety standards
- Reporting any maintenance or safety issues observed during cleaning
- Collaborating with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks
- Participating in ongoing training and development activities
