The position of Housekeeper plays a crucial role within Ohana Pacific Health’s care facilities. The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment in nursing homes to ensure the comfort and health of the residents. This role goes beyond basic cleaning tasks and involves following specific infection control standards, particularly when handling dirty linens and resident laundry, to prevent the spread of infections. Working diligently within a structured shift from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, the Housekeeper contributes to creating a welcoming and orderly environment where both residents and staff feel safe and valued.

Job Requirements
- Housekeeping experience in health care or commercial setting preferred
- Current and valid 2 step TB clearance and health review
- Ability to work assigned shifts Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
- Physical ability to perform cleaning duties
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior housekeeping experience in healthcare or commercial settings preferred
- Knowledge of infection control practices
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures
- Strong attention to detail and reliability
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Clean and maintain nursing home facilities to ensure a hygienic environment
- Follow infection control standards when collecting dirty linen and handling resident laundry
- Ensure orderly and safe living and working spaces for residents and staff
- Report any maintenance or safety issues in a timely manner
- Adhere to all health and safety policies and protocols
- Support team efforts to maintain facility cleanliness and resident satisfaction
