Under the supervision of the Housekeeping and Laundry Supervisor, the Housekeeper will be responsible for ensuring that resident rooms, offices, and all other interior and exterior areas of the facility remain clean, safe, and inviting. This role is vital in supporting the health and comfort of the residents by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and adhering to safety protocols regarding cleaning supplies and chemical hazards.
The ideal candidate for the Housekeeper position should be diligent, detail-oriented, and flexible in work assignments to meet the facility's needs. The role involves cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, wiping, mopping, polishing, and organizing to ensure rooms and communal areas are properly maintained. Complying with the departmental cleaning schedule and adjusting to potential changes in shift assignments are important aspects of this role. Moreover, the Housekeeper will sometimes perform additional supportive tasks as assigned to aid the essential functions of the department. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and safety protocols
- Ability to follow directions and work under supervision
- Capable of physical tasks including standing walking and lifting
- Flexibility to adjust to shift changes
- Good communication skills
- Reliable and punctual

Job Duties
- Cleans and straightens rooms offices and common areas including vacuuming wiping mopping polishing etc
- Polishes and removes items
- Checks that resident rooms are safe comfortable and maintained in an attractive manner
- Complies with weekly departmental cleaning schedule
- Adheres to all cleaning chemical hazards as indicated on supplies
- Demonstrates ability to adjust to changes in shift assignments to meet facility needs
- Performs other work duties as assigned
