Job Requirements

  • Physical ability to perform duties including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking and standing
  • Ability to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
  • Willingness to follow safety protocols and universal precautions

Job Qualifications

  • Past cleaning experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Maintain friendly, efficient, positive customer service demeanor toward customers, clients, and co-workers
  • Maintain all assigned ancillary and department areas and corridors in a clean, neat and sanitary manner, to protect safety and health of others and in compliance with preventive maintenance procedures
  • Inspect and use judgment in determining appropriate cleaning techniques as outlined in orientation guidelines
  • Demonstrate efficient and safe use of housekeeping equipment and cleaning solutions
  • Disinfect and sterilize equipment and supplies using germicides and sterilizing equipment
  • Employ universal precautions when disposing of trash and bio-hazardous materials
  • Keep the housekeeping cart properly stocked with equipment and cleaning supplies, ensure all chemicals are accurately labeled and equipment is well maintained
  • Promote effective interpersonal and interdisciplinary relationships, maintain professional conduct at all times
  • Assist in improving productivity and efficient operations of the department
  • Demonstrate commitment to professional growth and competence by adhering to training commitments
