This job opportunity at AC Hotels involves a full-time, non-management role based at their location on 2912 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, Florida. The position is primarily focused on the engineering and facilities category with evening shift hours. The role centers on preventive maintenance, ensuring that guest rooms, meeting spaces, and public areas are maintained to the highest standards. Responsibilities include inspecting and servicing mattresses, bed frames, and furniture, vacuuming under and behind furnishings, removing stains from carpets and upholstery, dusting, touching up paintwork, and making sure all fixtures and appliances are functioning correctly and present. The role demands a hands-on approach to minor repairs such as adjusting loose toilet seats, changing light bulbs, and filling holes in walls, as well as thorough cleaning of bathroom surfaces, tiles, floors, walls, windows, and mirrors.
An essential aspect of the role is ensuring safety and cleanliness standards are met and communicating major maintenance issues to supervisors immediately. The candidate must adhere strictly to company policies, including safety protocols, personal appearance, confidentiality, and property protection. The position requires physical activity such as standing, sitting, walking for long periods, bending, twisting, lifting, and moving objects up to 50 pounds independently, with help for heavier items.

Job Duties
- Perform planned preventive maintenance in guest rooms, meeting rooms, and public areas
- Inspect and service mattresses, bed frames, and furniture
- Vacuum behind and under furniture
- Remove stains from carpets and upholstery
- Dust and touch up paint and furniture
- Replace lighting fixtures and inspect grouts and caulking
- Conduct minor repairs such as adjusting loose toilet seats, changing bulbs, and filling holes in walls
- Clean all surfaces including bathtubs, tiles, floors, walls, windows, and mirrors
- Report serious maintenance issues, unusual findings, or safety hazards to management promptly
- Comply with company safety policies and procedures
- Maintain professional appearance and confidentiality
- Assist in lifting, moving, transporting, and positioning objects weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted
- Support the team to achieve common goals
- Follow quality expectations and standards
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested
