Job Requirements

  • Temporary employment for up to 28 weeks
  • Full-time, nonexempt position
  • Ability to work 7 days per week while onboard
  • Ability to stand for entire shifts
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 20 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds
  • Ability to bend, squat, reach frequently
  • Ability to climb ladders and pass through 20-inch hatches
  • Ability to live and work on board a vessel for extended periods
  • Adherence to emergency and safety training
  • No guarantee of future employment

Job Qualifications

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Be an American citizen or Green Card holder
  • Able to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation
  • Pass pre-employment drug testing including marijuana and controlled substances
  • Adhere to grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
  • Comply with no alcohol consumption policy on board
  • Successful in working under pressure with a positive attitude
  • Physically able to work in an environment subject to ship motions

Job Duties

  • Create and maintain a clean, safe, and attractive environment for guests
  • Prioritize comfort and cleanliness of staterooms, facilities, and common areas
  • Acknowledge guests by name and manage housekeeping-related inquiries according to service standards
  • Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors
  • Organize inventory and stock linen and supplies
  • Clean up spills and notify managers of maintenance issues
  • Collect and dispose of trash
  • Clean upholstered furniture and lounge spaces properly
  • Build genuine relationships with guests and efficiently cater to housekeeping requests
  • Assist with guest greetings during embarkation and support special events such as afternoon tea and cocktail parties
