Job Requirements
- Temporary employment for up to 28 weeks
- Full-time, nonexempt position
- Ability to work 7 days per week while onboard
- Ability to stand for entire shifts
- Ability to frequently lift up to 20 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds
- Ability to bend, squat, reach frequently
- Ability to climb ladders and pass through 20-inch hatches
- Ability to live and work on board a vessel for extended periods
- Adherence to emergency and safety training
- No guarantee of future employment
Job Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years old
- Be an American citizen or Green Card holder
- Able to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation
- Pass pre-employment drug testing including marijuana and controlled substances
- Adhere to grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
- Comply with no alcohol consumption policy on board
- Successful in working under pressure with a positive attitude
- Physically able to work in an environment subject to ship motions
Job Duties
- Create and maintain a clean, safe, and attractive environment for guests
- Prioritize comfort and cleanliness of staterooms, facilities, and common areas
- Acknowledge guests by name and manage housekeeping-related inquiries according to service standards
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors
- Organize inventory and stock linen and supplies
- Clean up spills and notify managers of maintenance issues
- Collect and dispose of trash
- Clean upholstered furniture and lounge spaces properly
- Build genuine relationships with guests and efficiently cater to housekeeping requests
- Assist with guest greetings during embarkation and support special events such as afternoon tea and cocktail parties
