This community is seeking a full-time Housekeeper to join its team. Reporting directly to the Maintenance or Executive Director, the Housekeeper will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the facility. This position is hourly and offers a competitive salary range of $18.00 to $21.00 per hour. The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning assigned areas, which include public spaces and resident rooms. Their duties involve various cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping floors, dusting furniture, cleaning restrooms, and assisting with activity room setups. The role requires attention to detail and a commitment to upholding the community's high standards of cleanliness.

The Housekeeping Associate supports the mission, vision, and goals of the organization by promoting company culture. They participate in ongoing training courses through a designated Learning Management System to keep their skills and knowledge updated. The Housekeeper must also attend all required staff meetings and take on any additional responsibilities as assigned to contribute to the community's overall success. This position requires excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and effective time management. The Housekeeper works collaboratively with residents, their families, staff members, and vendors to ensure a harmonious environment conducive to comfort and well-being.

Physical qualifications for this job include continuous walking and standing, the ability to lift and carry varying weights up to 100 pounds occasionally, and the capability to perform frequent bending, squatting, twisting, reaching, and climbing stairs. The candidate must be able to perform tasks both indoors and outdoors in various environmental conditions. Previous housekeeping experience is preferred but not mandatory. A general knowledge of housekeeping practices and the ability to operate necessary equipment safely is essential. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working both independently and as part of a team in a bustling, supportive senior living community environment.

Job Duties

  • supports the mission, vision, and goals of the organization, upholding and promoting company culture and vision
  • cleans and maintains assigned areas including public areas and resident rooms
  • cleans restrooms including counters, mirrors, sinks, lavatories, and fixtures in apartments and common areas
  • vacuums carpeted areas and mops tile floors
  • spot cleans walls and windows
  • dusts furniture and empties trashcans
  • cleans baseboards, pictures, lights, and HVAC vents
  • assists with activity room set-ups, which could require movement of furniture
  • attends training courses at community and maintains up to date monthly, quarterly, annual training through designated Learning Management System (LMS)
  • attend all required all staff meetings
  • other duties as assigned, and which relate to the success of the community and the care, comfort, and happiness of our residents
