We are currently seeking a diligent and responsible Housekeeper to join our team. This position primarily involves routine cleaning and laundry tasks with a strong focus on maintaining sanitary conditions throughout the facility. This role is crucial as it supports the overall health and safety framework necessary for the success and comfort of the environment’s occupants. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to perform physical duties, including lifting up to 50 pounds.

The position requires obtaining fingerprint clearance from New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (NYS OPWDD), Child Abuse and Maltreatment Screening clearance from New York State Office of Children and Family Services (NYS OCFS), and passing a drug screening prior to assignment. These steps ensure the safety and protection of the vulnerable populations we serve.

Key responsibilities include cleaning and servicing rooms, bathrooms, offices, and general areas of buildings, including mopping and vacuuming floors or carpets as needed. The role involves dusting furniture and sanitizing equipment used by children such as gym mats, bean bag chairs, and potty chairs. Housekeepers will organize rooms, collect and dispose of trash following procedures, scour bathroom appliances, polish mirrors, and restock essential supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels. They must keep utility and storage rooms orderly, observe all safety precautions especially related to the handling of cleaning supplies around children, and perform emergency clean-ups when required.
